In a highly mechanized future, Myers, a senior technician at the Pioneer Group, discovered that his S.A.R. military combat robot was self-programming. At the same time, the elite Marine Squad, which has always been an elite team, was assigned to the Pioneer Group's robotic training base for live-fire exercises. Myers follows the team to the island, where they find that communication has been cut off.
